1 Million Seedlings for Upstream Reforestation Project

TTW PCL, originally known as Thai Tap Water Supply PCL and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, collaboratively initiated 1 Million Seedlings for Upstream Reforestation project for the period of 7 years (from 2011-2017), with the objective of reviving deteriorated upstream forests level 1 in the area of Thong Pha Phum National Park, Baan E-Tong, M.1, Pilok sub-district, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi for 5,000 rais, as this area is the upstream forest of Mae Khlong River, which is one of the rivers that flows to meet with Tha Chin River, from where raw water is taken for the Company’s tap water production.

2011
The Company entered into a reforestation contract with local people for the area of 1,000 rais.
2012
The Company entered into a reforestation contract with local people for the area of 1,000 rais, and a forest maintenance contract for the area of 1,000 rais (forest planted in 2011 for the first year).
2013
The Company entered into a reforestation contract with local people for the area of 1,000 rais, and a forest maintenance contract for the area of 2,000 rais (forest planted in 2011 for the second year and forest planted in 2012 for the first year). At the end of the year, the Company delivered 1,000-rai forest (planted in 2011) to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to take care for another 7 years.
2014
The Company entered into a reforestation contract with local people for the area of 1,000 rais, and a forest maintenance contract for the area of 2,000 rais (forest planted in 2012 for the second year and forest planted in 2013 for the first year). At the end of the year, the Company delivered 1,000-rai forest (planted in 2012) to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to take care for another 7 years.
2015
The Company entered into a reforestation contract with local people for the area of 1,000 rais, and a forest maintenance contract for the area of 2,000 rais (forest planted in 2013 for the second year and forest planted in 2014 for the first year). At the end of the year, the Company delivered 1,000-rai forest (planted in 2013) to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to take care for another 7 years.
2016

The Company entered into a forest maintenance contract for the area of 2,000 rais (forest planted in 2013 for the second year and forest planted in 2015 for the first year). At the end of the year, the Company delivered 1,000-rai forest (planted in 2013) to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to take care for another 7 years.

2017

The Company entered into a forest maintenance contract for the area of 2,000 rais (forest planted in 2014 for the second year). At year-end, the Company delivered 1,000-rai forest (planted in 2014) to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to take care for another 7 years.
