Subject Announcement of signing an agreement with CH. Karnchang Plc. to carry out the West Bangkok Water Treatment and Distribution Facilities Project Expansion Phase 1

According to the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders No. 1/2551 of Thai Tap Water Supply Plc. ('the Company'), held on 17 December 2008, approved the connected transaction on assigning CH. Karnchang Plc. ('CK') to carry out the construction for plant enhancement, in order to increase the Company's production capacity from 320,000 cubic meters/day to 440,000 cubic meters/day, which is called 'The West Bangkok Water Treatment and Distribution Facilities Project Expansion Phase 1', under the condition that the construction shall start when the Company had signed a contract with the Provincial Waterworks Authority ('the PWA') to increase the minimum off-take volume in current purchase and sale agreement, in which the construction cost must not exceeding Baht 640 million (excluding VAT),
Now, the Company and PWA had signed a contract to amend the current Water Purchase and Sale Agreement on 29 December 2008, therefore, on the same day, the Company signed an agreement with CK to carry out the construction for plant enhancement which the contract worth Baht 638,926,000. The major details of the constructions are as follows:
- Civil work of the expansion of the existing water treatment plant in the production process
Location: Moo 9 Tambon Bang Rakam, Amphoe Bang Len, Nakhon Pathom Province 73130 - Civil work construction of Salaya Pumping Station
Location: Bangphasi-Salaya Road, Tambon Khlong Yong, Amphoe Phutthamonthon, Nakhon Pathom Province 73170 - Civil work construction of Krathum Baen Pumping Station
Location: Krathum Baen Cooperatives, Amphoe Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon Province 74110 - The construction shall officially start on 29 December 2008
