1 Million Seedlings for Upstream Reforestation Project

TTW PCL, originally known as Thai Tap Water Supply PCL and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, collaboratively initiated 1 Million Seedlings for Upstream Reforestation project for the period of 7 years (from 2011-2017), with the objective of reviving deteriorated upstream forests level 1 in the area of Thong Pha Phum National Park, Baan E-Tong, M.1, Pilok sub-district, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi for 5,000 rais, as this area is the upstream forest of Mae Khlong River, which is one of the rivers that flows to meet with Tha Chin River, from where raw water is taken for the Company’s tap water production.

Thai Children for Water Conservation Project

In 2013, there was a competition that had been organized for the third consecutive year, with lower and upper secondary students as the key target group (not higher than upper secondary 2) aged between 14-19 years old from secondary schools all over Thailand. The topic of the competition is ‘Sustainable Water Conservation Innovation for the Community’, whereby the committee will be considering the work of the winner of 2013 to serve as the country’s representative in the final round competition for Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2014 (SJWP) in Stockholm, Sweden, during September 1-5, 2014. The winner of 2013 is Surat Pitthaya School, Surat Thani; Producing GBC Plastic with Wastewater from Raw Rubber Sheet Production.
In 2014, the competition was held for the fourth consecutive year for secondary school students from all over Thailand (not higher than upper secondary 2) aged between 14-19 years old under the concept ‘Water Conservation Innovation toward Sustainability’, whereby there are 5 water conservation issues that have been the center of interest, comprising of:
